The question, “What causes anxiety?” has been floating around the heads of millions of people. I’ve talked about it so many times with colleagues and friends that I thought it was time to address it a little.
We all know that our minds have trouble performing many of the functions we use them for every day. In addition, our brains are constantly changing and adapting to new thoughts and information we are exposed to every day.
This is just the way it is with humans in general, and certain kinds of anxiety is no different. For example, if you’ve ever had panic attacks, you may know what I’m talking about.
Causes Of Anxiety
You can see why it’s so difficult to pinpoint what causes anxiety. You can read all the books in the world, consult with your doctor, and get tested by a professional. But the truth is, you can’t know for sure whether or not your anxiety is directly caused by something in your mind.
Certain ways in which your brain communicates with your body to make it hard to pin down exactly what is causing your anxiety. We’re not even sure if our brain has a specific role in causing our feelings of anxiety or it’s simply reacting to the feelings our body is trying to tell us.
Anxiety is an illness that is likely caused by some imbalance in the way the mind and bodywork together. Anxiousness is often used as a way to describe this type of interaction. There’s no scientific explanation for why anxiety feels that way to some people and not others.
How To Deal With Anxiety
We don’t know why some people are more anxious than others and what causes anxiety doesn’t really have a cure. Our best guess is that it is due to the fact that anxiety is a learned response in our minds and by learning how to make ourselves feel anxious we are actually training our minds to react to situations that cause anxiety.
The best way to deal with anxiety is to learn how to fight anxiety. Learning the four basic fears will help you learn how to control, and eventually, eliminate your feelings of anxiety, which will reduce anxiety itself.
First, there is the fear of losing control or letting go, which is your normal reaction to being in situations where you need to make decisions. Learn how to experience the loss of control in a positive way by watching scary movies, listening to soothing music, or doing something else that gives you a feeling of relaxation and calm.
Fear of the unknown is probably the second most common fear that causes anxiety. You have no idea what is going to happen next. This may be one of the most fearful feelings in the world.
We all live in fear of the unknown, but for some people, it becomes overwhelming. They end up just running from their fears. Find something you enjoy doing that puts you in a safe environment and spend your time there.
Fear of the fatwa and fear of being abandoned are some of the most common anxieties out there. It’s important to understand that these are both good things in some cases. However, in other cases, it can be a horrible thing that can cause panic attacks, constant worry, and anxiety.
